Extensive research from the State University in Texas has concluded that flowers not only improve our sense of well being psychologically – most of us can concur that receiving a bouquet of flowers has the ability to at the very least make us smile and lift our mood - but that this in turn can improve our sense of wellbeing physically, as their calming effects can reduce both stress and blood pressure which in themselves can exacerbate previously benign ailments.
