Silk Flowers on Graves and in Cemeteries

Silk and artificial flowers have long been considered a little garish and not fitting for our pretty English Cemeteries, and often you will find that the local Parish Council has a ban on them.  However, in recent years this view has begun to change and the Parish Councils are changing the rules.

The quality of silk and artificial flowers has improved significantly and it is often difficult to distinguish artificial from fresh.  So, for many people who are unable to tend a grave regularly, they no longer have to think of their flowers looking drab and unkempt for weeks, but instead can use silk flowers in the knowledge that they will remain looking their best until their next visit.
